Course Marking: Vendor and Technology Considerations

12:00 - 1:00 pm EST

Course marking, or tagging courses that utilize OER, low-cost, or other no-cost course materials provide students with the power and agency to make informed decisions at the time of registration based on their own financial situations and helps to amplify redistributive justice, making sure all students have the required materials they need to succeed on the first day of class. This webinar, moderated by Lindsey Gwozdz, the New England Board of Higher Education’s Fellow for Open Education, will feature a panel of experienced higher ed professionals, who have personally guided and/or been intimately involved in course marking implementation at their own systems and institutions. Panelists will share insights with the audience on lessons they've learned throughout their personal experiences with the technical side of course marking such as working within their Student Information Systems, workflow considerations, communicating effectively with IT, and several other nuances that will help those about to embark on this journey get a handle on essential considerations ahead of time. This session will be recorded.
