Getting Started with Course Marking

10:00 - 11:00 am EST

Course marking, or tagging courses that utilize OER, low-cost, or other no-cost course materials provide students with the power and agency to make informed decisions at the time of registration based on their own financial situations and helps to amplify redistributive justice, making sure all students have the required materials they need to succeed on the first day of class. This panel, composed of practitioners from the Northeast and facilitated by the New England Board of Higher Education’s Fellow for Open Education, will provide a broad overview of course marking definitions, share some examples, and provide attendees with a general roadmap to get efforts started at your own institution or system. This session will be recorded.
